I recently migrated from WinXP(32) to Win7(64) (same computer 8G ram). I had to change my scanner for drivers lacks (Canon DR-2080C to Epson GT-S80N) and reinstall Paperscan.
This scanner/driver works well with Epson scan application and with Nuance Paperport.
Now, I can run Paperscan normally, select the scanner model (TWAIN driver in this case), but if I want to start to scan, the program closes immediately without error message.
I don't know what to do.
Are you using the latest available version of PaperScan ? (currently 1.1.0)
If the problem persists, and before we try to get an Epson GT-S80N for testing purpose, you can make this test:
- Create a debugtwain.bat file in the same folder as PaperScan.exe
- Write the line "PaperScan /td" on this file
- Double-click debugtwain.bat, PaperScan app should start.
- Try to acquire an image.
- Then, send us the content of the created file "gdtwain.log" than can be found on the same place as debugtwain.bat
