I am using the free version with XP and a mustek 1200UB scanner
The program works when I use preview but when I try to scan it will run the scan but will not show up in the main program, are there any settings that I can adjust

Hi Mark,

The scanner GUI is usually provided through a TWAIN driver.
So ensure to use the TWAIN protocol (Options / Acquisition Standard / TWAIN).

And then, File / Acquire Image / Advanced Device Option...

This should raise the device configuration dialog that allows to better customize the scanning process.
