Transferring Page stops at 20%

I have been using the free version of the scanning tool and downloaded the Home version to try before I buy... However in the home version, it will begin to scan but on the status bar for Transfer Pages, it stops at 20% and I have to use Task Manager to shut it down the application because it is locked up. I am running on Windows 8. I would love to buy but need it to work first, thanks,

Hi Jeremy,
Could you please give us more information about your hardware ? Scanner device, 32 or 64bit environment, etc...
If I understand correctly the free edition works as it should but home edition is stuck at 20%? Am I right?

I had this issue with both free and home

Hello,
We just released a new version of PaperScan fixing a bug raised by Windows 8.
I suggest you to try it and let us know if the problem is solved.
To use the new version, you need to desinstall the previous one and reintall it from here:
