Post by Cedric » Thu Jul 21, 2016 9:54 am

Hello everyone,

ORPALIS PDF OCR Professional can be fully automated through command line interface.

Bellow you will find all supported parameters of the latest available version that can be downloaded from http://pdfocr.orpalis.com/download/
Syntax: pdfOCR.exe [parameters]

parameters can be:

/Min (start application with minimized window state)
/P <input folder>
/F <input file(s)> (note: each file path can be separated by the '|' character)
/D <destination folder>
/T <number of threads>
/NS (don't process sub folders)
/L <OCR language code> (for instance "spa" for Spanish, "fra" for French, default is English)

Example 1: process file1.pdf and file2.pdf from the C:\myPdfs\input\ folder using two threads and save them to C:\myPdfs\output\ :
pdfOCR.exe /F "C:\myPdfs\input\file1.pdf|C:\myPdfs\input\file2.pdf" /D "C:\myPdfs\output" /T 2

Example 2: process all files (including sub-folders) available in C:\myPdfs\ using 8 threads:
pdfOCR.exe /P "C:\myPdfs\" /D "C:\myPdfs\" /T 8

Need more example? Do not hesitate to contact our team through http://www.orpalis.com/contact/, we will be glad to assist!

Best Regards,

Cedric

Hi,

Thank you for letting us know that the language selection has been omitted, the development team is on it and this will be fixed in the next release.
I will update this thread once this versions has been published.

EDIT: It is now available since version 1.1.7 and the documentation has been edited accordingly.

Hi Remy,
It could be an interesting option, we take good note.
I have transferred your queries to the development team so they can look if its something we can implement quickly or not.
I will let you know.

Thank you
